Yes. NLG offers a £1 First Lesson for new one-to-one students. £1 applies to the first one-to-one lesson only. Regular lessons then continue at the applicable standard rate. After the 14-day cooling-off period, cancellation requires 4 weeks’ written notice. Book £1 First Lesson.

One-to-one tutoring is billed weekly by card payment via Stripe, in advance of lessons. Eligible group programmes can be paid weekly or through current group-only upfront options. For one-to-one tutoring, cancellation requires 4 weeks’ written notice after the 14-day cooling-off period.

Tutor matching time varies according to the subject, level, exam board, learner requirements and current suitable tutor availability. NLG will confirm the next suitable match after reviewing the enquiry.

NLG considers subject experience, education level, exam-board relevance, learning needs, availability and tutor fit. For SEND learners, matching can also consider relevant experience with the learner’s additional needs and preferred approach.

Yes. If the current match is not suitable, contact the NLG team. The team can review the situation and check an alternative tutor match, subject to suitable tutor availability.

NLG lessons are delivered live online. Tutors can use screen sharing, digital whiteboards and other suitable online resources during lessons. One-to-one sessions are 40 minutes and eligible group sessions are 60 minutes. NLG uses DBS-checked tutors and safeguarding-led standards for online tutoring.

Yes. Tutors can review past-paper work and provide feedback during one-to-one lessons where it is relevant to the learner’s subject and exam preparation. This can include answer structure, calculations, timing, accuracy and exam technique.

Yes. One-to-one lessons can focus on exam preparation such as past papers, topic gaps, mark schemes, timing, revision planning and exam technique. The exact focus depends on the learner’s subject, current priorities and suitable tutor availability.

NLG offers selected group tutoring for 11 Plus exam preparation, GCSE Maths and GCSE English only. Group places, start dates and timetables are subject to availability, sufficient enrolment and suitable group placement. Other supported subjects and levels are delivered one-to-one.
