GCSE Tutoring Reviews
Shannon has been teaching my daughter English and History GCSE for the past seven months. Thanks to her support, my daughter has gained the confidence she needed to approach her GCSEs in both subjects with assurance. Shannon has motivated her through her enthusiasm and has effectively shared her strong subject knowledge in both English and History. She has also encouraged my daughter to develop subject-specific exam techniques, providing personalised and constructive feedback throughout. We totally recommend the experience.
I wanted GCSE revision for my Autistic son, I started the revision 3months before the GCSE’s started and the confidence I seen within my son with each session was noticeable. They set clear plans and structure to lessons and gave me regular feedback of how he was getting on. Thank you so much for all your help
Ismail Jomantas been Tutoring my 16 year old son in physics as he prepares for his GCSE exams. Ismail has been excellent. My son finds him approachable, friendly and knowledgeable. He tailors the weekly sessions to my son's level, and constantly challenges him. If he has an area that needs more attention, then lessons are adapted for that. My son is moving on to do A Level physics and we wouldn't hesitate to come back should further support be required.
We've had the pleasure of having Abeeha Tariq tutor our 15 year old daughter in chemistry and mathematics in preparation for her mock exams and GCSEs next year. She has helped her focus on the concepts, revise material from school and practice and review exam questions. We make no hesitation in recommending her to other parents.
NLG has helped me get back on track for my GCSE resits. I struggled really badly with maths and my tutor Elena Matveeva talked me through everything. She is patient, Kind and a wonderful teacher. I 100% recommend her for people who need help with maths. It has been an honour to be taught by her and I highly thank her for everything she has done!
My son had 1 year of foundation Maths, and English tuition for GCSEs with the National Learning Group. He is very practically minded and did not enjoy studying. He had a real mental block in Maths, and struggled with writing in any depth for English, although was able to verbalise answers more easily. English was delivered by Jacob Berry. He had two tutors over the year for Maths; firstly Fatima Aljuboori, and latterly Kareem Abughazza. He developed confidence and skills from the NLG tuition, achieving a grade 4 in Foundation Maths (170 from a grade boundary of 175), and a grade 5 in both English Language and English literature. He also achieved a grade 7 in History, up from his predicted Grade 6, and a 5-5 in Foundation Combined Science from the predicted 5-4. I am certain that his extra tuition with NLG helped him develop study skills in these other subjects, improving his GCSE results overall. All of which sets him up to progress in his application to join the Royal Navy. I would definitely recommend NLG.

I’d like to express my sincere thanks for the excellent service from start to finish, from my initial enquiry to the selection of a tutor, and ultimately the outstanding session delivered by Parul. My son has gained a great deal from Parul’s expertise and passion for the subject, and he now feels much more confident as he approaches his A-level exams. I would recommend Parul without hesitation!
As an A level student I have been I have had an amazing experience with NLG, my maths turor Sylvester brings his real world experience into lessons which just adds a greater depth of understanding. Aswell as being an incredible maths tutor, he is also very supportive, advising me and explaining what he experienced when working in the engineering world.I look forward to every lesson I have with him and I can't wait ro achive my dream grade with his help.
I have Mihai as my maths tutor and he is great. He has really helped me improve vastly in my A levels and has gotten my average grade from a U-D to now a C-B and it feels like my grade will continue to improve. Overall very positive experience working with him.
Primary Tutoring Reviews
We have had such a great experience with NLG. My Daughter's tutor, Lynn Widdowson has been amazing and I’ve noticed a huge shift in her confidence, she is now eager to solve math problems instead of shying away from them. Each session is structured, fun but calm and Lynn really keeps our Daughter engaged each week. She has come on leaps and bounds with her Year 4 Math's. I would highly recommend NLG, especially with Lynn as a tutor. Communication has been excellent and the whole experience has felt supportive, and well organised.
We have had a couple of tutors through the NLG, and they have been absolutely incredible. Both Charlene and Nadia have exceeded our expectations with our son Teddy. He has adhd and asd and can find it hard to concentrate and usually needs to be taught differently to the general way of learning. Both have been absolutely brilliant and worked with Teddy so he could flourish. We couldnt have been happier with our experience. Thanks so much.
My grandson has lessons with Nina Dos Santos and Jacob Whittle. He has made so much progress in both English and maths and now looks forward to his on line lessons. He wasn’t doing so well with mainstream school but both of his tutors are very good at their job and he has made massive progress.
Lynn Golding has been providing online tutoring for my daughter Catherine for over 1 year now. The tutoring is in English and in Maths and both subjects are tailor made, by Lynn, for Catherine's learning; to cover the gaps that the mainstream schools have missed. Lynn's assistance gives Catherine confidence in her reading, writing and maths and we really appreciate the help from Lynn.
My daughter has been working with 'Kayleigh Millet' from National Learning Group for over two years now, focusing on both English and Maths. She is 8 years old and has grown so much with this support. From the beginning, Kayleigh has been incredibly patient, always taking the time to make sure she understands each concept before moving on and is very knowledgeable, explaining things in ways that make sense to a young learner. Most importantly, she is kind — she encourages my daughter, builds up her confidence, and turns learning into something positive and fun. Because of this consistency and care, I’ve noticed real improvements in both her English and Maths. She is more confident in herself, less hesitant when faced with challenging problems, and she’s started to enjoy the subjects more than she ever did. I would highly recommend Kayleigh to other parents. If you want someone who’s patient, kind, and genuinely invested in your child’s progress, this tutor is an excellent choice.
Alice is 9 years old and has been enjoying her maths lessons with NLG and tutor Emily Browne for a long time now and she absolutely loves them. Her confidence has grown and she has fun while learning. Emily makes Alice’s lessons interesting and engaging. Emily is a fantastic tutor.

We are really pleased with the support our son has received from Tina. She has been tutoring him in English for the last 18 months. She is always professional, well-prepared and genuinely committed to helping him improve. Her communication has been excellent - she keeps us informed and is always easy to reach. She has also been very flexible and understanding when we have needed to move appointments too. We feel very lucky to have found her and recommend her to others.
We needed some home tutoring whilst between schools after a move. NLG were fantastic, the tutors were relatable to my child who got on really well with them. The lessons were great always on time and they set homework. He went into year 9 feeling confident and prepared. Thank you Emily and Kareem for all of your help and support.

Amazing tutoring , my daughter has been catching up really quickly. Her tutor explained things clearly and in a way she could understand, and importantly allowed her to work through practice questions at her own pace. It was the best decision we ever made.
My daughter won the mathematician award last session. Credit to her Maths tutor for the support and encouragement. The team are responsive, well organised and have matched us with exactly the right tutor for her learning style.

SATs Preparation Reviews
I contacted learning group for some additional tuition for my son in the lead up to his SATS , Iqra was assigned as his tutor and with in the first session my son’s confidence grew . Over the next few sessions he grew and grew ! He has now completed his SATs and is awaiting his results but the feeling is very positive and he entered his exams happy and confident.
My son’s tutor Lynn Golding has been amazing!I will definitely be using NLG again and asking for her. I would also like to say a massive thankyou for helping Elliott whilst he has had his tuition, his school work has improved massively. We are actually looking at greater depth in some of his SATS papers and that’s down to you so honestly
NLG is a great company, they are easy to use, and contacting them is super easy. Our tutor Lynn, has given my child the tools he needs to go into his Year 6 SAT's with confidence. She is patient and very kind.

I would recommend this tuition service to anyone. If you are looking for a tutor for your child's no matter they're education level or disability look no further. I don't take leaving reviews lightly,as I don't like leaving feedback, but Credit where it's due these guys really are truly amazing. Every tutor he was placed with was Put my child's completely at ease. He had a fantastic time with them, they really do love children and their job, and it shows too. My child has Various disabilities which can make learning and communication a lot harder for him, however despite this he has come on in leaps and bounds, not only educationally wise but socially too. Not only were the tutors themselves very supportive of my child's learning, and my understanding of my child's learning. The The Administration staff were also extremely helpful, Whenever they were needed. They were also very understanding with my own learning difficulties and made me feel completely at ease when discussing my child and his needs, nothing was ever hard for them or to much hassle. Thank every single one of the staff for making our stay with them as pleasantest as possible, and We will miss their smiling faces.
My daughter has a certain level of learning difficulties, so we were keen to find the ‘right’ tutor for her. Shannon was fantastic. She had the right level of patience. But encouraged her to push herself to achieve the best result she can. My daughter really liked her. Thank you.
