What are Specialist Groups?+
Specialist Groups are weekly, 60-minute online GCSE sessions where students learn together with a tutor. Each group is tailored to the year group, subject and exam board, helping students strengthen their understanding and develop exam technique for the specification they're studying.
How much do Specialist Groups cost?+
Specialist Groups cost £20 per session when paying weekly, £90 for 5 lessons upfront, or £160 for 10 lessons upfront. No payment is taken when you submit this form.
Which exam boards do Specialist Groups follow?+
The Maths groups follow Pearson Edexcel and the English groups follow AQA. If your child sits a different board, or you're not sure which, choose “Different exam board or not sure” in the form and we'll recommend the right option, including 1:1 tuition.
When do the groups run?+
Year 11 Maths (Pearson Edexcel) runs on Monday, 5–6pm. Year 10 English (AQA) runs on Monday, 6–7pm. Year 10 Maths (Pearson Edexcel) runs on Wednesday, 6–7pm. Year 11 English (AQA) runs on Friday, 7–8pm.
Are the tutors DBS-checked?+
Yes. Every National Learning Group tutor is DBS-checked and vetted before they teach.
Is my child's place confirmed when I submit the form?+
Not yet. Our enrolment team will call you to check availability, confirm the group is the right fit and agree a start date before anything is booked.
Can my child switch to 1:1 tutoring later?+
Yes. You can move to 1:1 tuition at any time if your child needs more personalised support.
Specialist Groups availability: places, start dates and timetables depend on current availability, enough students enrolling and a suitable group fit. A place is confirmed only once our team approves it.
